At GRID, we are dedicated to a better outlook for the planet, and we want to contribute to a more sustainable future.
To do that, we started a sustainability project in 2024 with several initiatives, which we will continue into 2025 and beyond.
All our activities are initiated to work with the UN’s sustainable development goals (SDG) 12 and 13.
Read more about our work below.
Sustainable Development Goals
set forth by the UN.
SDG 12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.

SDG 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.
Life Cycle Assessment.
An analysis of a product's footprint measured in CO2 equivalents (CO2e) from the extraction of raw materials to the final consumption of the product.
Product Environmental Footprint.
The European Commission's standard for calculating the environmental impact of a product.
Environmental, Social and Governance.
The three areas are the pillars of the common understanding of what sustainability covers.
As a first step we made climate accounting for our Scope 1 and 2 activities.
Scope 1 covers our direct impact like emissions from our own facility, transport in our own vehicles and our natural gas consumption.
Our Scope 2 emissions covers our indirect emissions from electricity consumption. With the baseline given by this collected data we now know where to change behavior to bring our negative impact down.
If you wish to know more and read through our climate accounting, don’t hesitate to contact us about it.
We have decided that our entire electricity purchase should come from renewable energy produced by Danish wind power and have achieved this through working with scanenergi.
In May/June 2025 we will also contribute with 100 trees in the establishment of climate forests in Denmark. Throughout their lives the trees absorb CO2 equivalent to 25 ton.
You can see our certification for our different sustainability iniatives among the other certificates on our certificate page.
The GRID cube is our core component. Made from a PA6 material which, after use, can be ground to a granulate, and thereby be recycled into new products.
After years of testing, we can now introduce the black GRID cube made from 65% recycled material.
In this process we also made LCA’s on the different GRID versions, recycled or otherwise, to ensure that swapping to the recycled material had a profound and positive impact on the environment.
