For the redesign of their large youth department, the modern library in the center of Frederiksberg chose GRID.
The library furniture system was used for a central wall placed book case with a tiered expression and several modules on castors that can be clicked together and taken apart at will, in order to achieve the flexibility that the librarians need to accomodate for the different functions and features that a modern library entails.
Different features were included upon request from the librarians, such as "flip-boxes" for the visitors to easily peruse books, as well as magazine shelves for star-book focus and felt panels an improvement of acoustics.
The design agency of MICCOM was responsible for signage and wayfinding, that blends in with the GRID System and compliments the library interior system with various signs made in lacquered plywood and foils.
