In August 2019, Nørrebro Library moved into the more than 100-year-old tram depot, which has been Nørrebrohallen since 1973. The library interior was designed by Keingart with the aim of creating a diverse, vibrant and inviting library at eye level with the users of the hall and the library.
GRID was chosen for the library interior with build-up structures, book stands, seating, plant boxes, oak boxes and shelves, acrylic and oak top and side panels.
Located in an old tram depot, the library is one of the most unique looking and urban public libraries in the city. GRID underlines this theme with open exhibition cubes and biophilic displays, reminiscing the feel of the rest of the interior and exterior of the library.
