With eight projects in Germany, the Danish architects Arne Jacobsen and Otto Weitling realised more buildings than anywhere else except their own country. For the first time seven of them are presented in a touring exhibition from 2020-2023.
The exhibition presents the works of the two Danish architects at five locations in the respective buildings - with GRID as the modular exhibition display - made to be build and rebuild for the different locations.
The exhibition won the German "Iconic Awards 22" for Best Architecture.
The exhibition marks the German-Danish Year of Cultural Friendship in 2020 and the 50th anniversary of Arne Jacobsen's death in 2021.
Curators Hendrik Bohle's and Jan Dimog's travelling exhibition and book "Gesamtkunstwerke", casts light on the lesser-known works by Arne Jacobsen and Otto Weitling in Germany from the 1960s and 1970s. The architecture of Arne Jacobsen and Otto Weitling is of outstanding importance for the post-war modern period in Germany. The idea for the exhibition arose at the seaside at Burgtiefe, Fehmarn.
“Pros and cons would certainly be a positive sign, because a house that is not talked about is usually not worth talking about.”Arne Jacobsen

White GRIDs serves as modular reusable exhibition displays
Choosing a modular furnishing system as a business owner offers flexibility, cost-efficiency, and adaptability—key advantages in a fast-paced business environment.
The GRID Modular furniture system is easy to rearrange, expand, or reduce, in order to suit changing needs. As businesses grow or shift focus, modular furniture allows you to adjust layouts without needing entirely new furniture.
Try to evaluate your needs and ask yourself as a business
Issues like these can be alleviated with a truly modular system.
If you are contemplating getting a modular furnishing solution, we are ready to advise and help design your next configuration to be futureproof and customized to the space you work with.
We offer pre-configuration of your designs in the extend that transport allows us, and we will help you the rest of the way when the GRID arrives at the destination either via on site installation or remote communication and instruction. You can also see a bit more about the assembly itself in our assembly instructions.
Although we want to help you design the best modular furniture system for you, we pride ourselves in the GRID System being an intuitive and easy to master building experience, for both experienced interior designers as well as novices.
You can design your own GRID configurations in the pCon Planner programme and send you design to us for expert guidance from our in house designers.
GRIDs modular furniture system consists of components that can be dismantled, reused or reconfigured, helping reduce costs over time. This also gives it a longer lifespan than conventional furniture, and it means you can use fewer resources by reconfiguring rather than replacing.
Modular setups can be customized to maximize every inch of space, making them ideal for small and open-plan offices alike.
For instance, you can add storage, seating, or display functions as needed, and in that way ensure that each piece serves multiple purposes.
