The Red Dot Design Museum at Singapore’s Waterfront Prominade presents the worlds largest exhibition of contemporary design. In 2017 the inhouse architect in collaboration with Red Dot Design Award and Makk Architects chose GRID as museum interior. GRID’s adaptablility and durability was essential for this project and enables re-designs of the museum gift shop, bar and outdoor area. To display their many design objects architectural white installations were specified for the shop, including display walls, podiums, ceiling decorations and a counter. For the bar GRID was designed into a desk, storage wall and a combined wall and ceiling unit. Additional outdoor seatings and walk through installations were specified for the outside bar and lounge.
GRID was chosen in 2017 and again in 2022, when the museum reopened after a 6-month closure.
